Manas Kumar Sahu creates sand animation for World Tourism Day

To mark World Tourism Day, international sand artist Manas Kumar Sahu created a special sand animation in Puri, Odisha. The artwork focuses on the intersection of tourism and technology, aligning with this year’s theme: “Transforming tourism through a digital agenda and artificial intelligence.”

Sahu used his creative medium to highlight the importance of digital innovation, culture, and heritage in shaping the future of travel. He noted that tourism serves as a vital driver for economic development, as travelers exploring different regions bring significant financial benefits to those areas. The animation, completed in his Puri studio in approximately 15 minutes, aims to showcase India’s vast tourism potential on a global stage.
