Cities across Brazil organized a series of free public‑service events in July‑August 2024. In Manaus, the 12th Virada Sustentável gathered more than 2,000 participants for debates, cultural performances and exhibitions promoting urban sustainability. Presidente Prudente’s “Sua Vida Melhor Ainda” combined municipal health, citizenship and cultural services with the local feira livre. Olinda’s municipal health department ran a mobile clinic and dental unit offering free medical consultations, tests and dental care throughout the week. The Shopping São José in São José dos Pinhais hosted a Women’s Entrepreneur Fair showcasing fashion, gastronomy and handicrafts by local female producers. Guarulhos’ Subsecretaria de Políticas para o Idoso provided free services, adapted physical activities and a musical show for seniors. In the Zona Leste of Manaus, the Literatus + Saúde action delivered health, documentation and social assistance to over 150 residents, including new national identity card bookings. Beltrão’s Acefb Day offered free networking and business‑development sessions for regional entrepreneurs. Rio Branco’s Saúde Rural campaign delivered medical, dental and preventive services to families in the Baixa Verde community, complemented by cultural and sports activities. Sebrae‑SP conducted a leadership and sales training for food‑service entrepreneurs in Ribeirão Preto, combining theory with practical pitches. Finally, Rio das Ostras’ health department marked World Hepatitis Day with free rapid tests, education and counseling. These initiatives reflect a nationwide push to provide free health, cultural, educational and business resources directly to local populations.
