Manaus education staff clinch futsal titles in municipal games

The 6th edition of the Jogos de Integração dos Servidores da Semed concluded on 2 August with finals in four futsal categories – Adult Female, Adult Male, Male 40+, and Male 50+ – at the Waldir Garcia municipal school in São Geraldo, Manaus. About 450 municipal education employees competed across 31 teams. Espartana BD won the Adult Female final 4‑2, with pivot Mirta Pedrosa scoring twice. Municipal Education Secretary Arone Bentes said the games “strengthen coexistence among staff and improve the quality of education offered in Manaus.”

In the 7th Copa Amizade de Futsal 2026, youth squads from Quatro Pontes achieved notable victories in Ouro Verde do Oeste. The Sub‑9 team beat the hosts 4‑1, Sub‑11 won 5‑1, and Sub‑14 edged a 4‑3 win, all under coaches Alexsandro Henz, Leonardo Rauber and Edevaldo respectively. The Sub‑17 side fell 2‑1 to the local side. The municipality highlighted the results as evidence of the sport’s role in youth development and community integration.
