Manaus holds 6th Literary Dance Showcase for young students

The Manaus Municipal Education Secretariat (Semed) held the 6th ‘Literary Dance Showcase for Early Childhood Education’ on September 30. The event, themed ‘The Universe of Comic Book Superheroes,’ took place at the Semed auditorium in the Parque 10 de Novembro neighborhood.

Approximately 268 children from 30 different educational units, including nurseries and Municipal Centers for Early Childhood Education (Cmeis), participated in the program. The initiative is part of the ‘Super Child Readers’ project, which aims to encourage literacy, oral skills, and physical expression through dance, music, theater, and storytelling.

Arone Bentes, the Municipal Secretary of Education, noted that using comic books as a pedagogical tool helps children engage with letters and cognitive development through playful activities. The event was coordinated by the South Zonal District Division (DDZ Sul).
