Manaus hosts major cultural festivals to boost creative economy

Manaus is hosting significant cultural events aimed at boosting the local creative economy and artistic expression. The “#SouManaus Passo a Paço 2026” festival is scheduled to take place from September 4 to 13 in the city's Historic Center. The event will feature over 150 musicians, including national icons such as Ana Castela, IZA, Filipe Ret, and Gloria Groove, alongside numerous local Amazonian talents. The festival is expected to mobilize more than 3,000 workers and include theatrical shows, circus performances, and various artistic interventions.

Additionally, the Casarão de Ideias Cultural Center is organizing the 2026 edition of “Te Encontro na Barroso.” This free event will span two days, August 29 and 30, in the streets of downtown Manaus. The program includes 20 musical attractions across four stages, a creative fair featuring 60 local entrepreneurs, and various artistic interventions designed to occupy urban spaces with culture and entertainment.
