Manaus infrastructure: Passarão road complex ramp to open by September 20

Infrastructure development remains a central focus in Manaus, with significant progress reported on major road projects. Mayor Renato Junior announced that the upper ramp of the ‘Passarão’ road complex is expected to be released to the public by September 20. The project is currently 46% complete, with paving works underway. Once operational, the new ramp is intended to divert approximately 3,000 vehicles from Avenida Coronel Teixeira, though the full complex is not scheduled for completion until May 2027.

Historically, infrastructure has been a cornerstone of local administration. Previous major works include the Miguel Arraes Road Complex (Viaduto da Recife) and the Gilberto Mestrinho Road Complex (formerly Coroado), both of which were initiated or planned during the administration of Serafim Corrêa. These projects were designed to address increasing vehicle numbers and congestion in the city's central and southern zones.
