Manaus launches Toadeiro Hit Tribal indigenous culture project

The Manaus City Hall and the Municipal Council of Culture (Concultura) have officially launched the ‘Toadeiro Hit Tribal’ project. The initiative aims to promote and value the ancestral culture, rhythms, and traditions of the indigenous peoples of the Amazon.

Funded through the National Aldir Blanc Policy (PNAB) under Notice 006/2026 for Ethnic Culture, the project seeks to increase the visibility of indigenous artistic expressions. Janayna Vasconcelos, president of Concultura, stated that the project demonstrates how public funding policies are essential for strengthening the identity of original peoples and maintaining Amazonian cultural heritage.

Project proponent Cianny Waikiru’wato noted that the initiative serves to project various communities and allows for the rescue and display of indigenous work through collaborative construction and social transformation.
