Manaus launches walk-in women's health services

In Manaus, the ‘Circuito de Saúde da Mulher’ is offering medical consultations, preventive exams, vaccinations, and imaging services without the need for prior scheduling via the Sisreg system. This initiative, part of the ‘Outubro Rosa’ campaign, aims to accelerate the early diagnosis and prevention of breast and cervical cancer.

Services are organized into nine stations, allowing patients to receive mammographies, breast ultrasounds, Pap smears, and rapid tests for sexually transmitted infections in a single visit. The program also includes general practitioner consultations and direct referrals to mastologists if abnormalities are detected. The mobile health force will rotate through various neighborhoods in the north, east, and west zones of the capital throughout October.
