Manaus park featuring Oscar Niemeyer design reaches 70% completion
Construction of the Encontro das Águas Rosa Almeida park in Manaus has reached 70% completion. The project, which features a design by architect Oscar Niemeyer, is currently in the final concrete stage of the ‘Oca Niemeyer’ structure. This landmark building is expected to reach a height of 21 meters and will incorporate spheres representing the meeting of the Negro and Solimões rivers.
The park is intended to become a major tourist destination in the city's eastern zone, combining regional gastronomy and culture with the natural phenomenon of the river confluence. Local authorities also plan to implement bilingual training programs for residents of the Colônia Antônio Aleixo community to serve as professional tour guides.
