Manaus Passarão road complex enters new construction phase

The construction of the Passarão road complex in the West Zone of Manaus has entered a new phase. The project, which has reached 30% execution, involves the transport and installation of 24 large pre-molded beams.

To facilitate these operations, temporary traffic changes will affect Avenida Brasil and Avenida Coronel Teixeira from August 13 to September 15. Intense interventions are scheduled daily between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (IMMU) will provide escorts and traffic control during the movement of the structures.

Mayor Renato Junior stated that while the official deadline for the project is June 2027, there is an effort to accelerate the timeline. The goal is to deliver the elevated portion by May of next year to release traffic on Avenida Coronel Teixeira toward the São Jorge neighborhood, while work continues on the lower levels of the three-tier structure.
