Manaus police arrest 62‑year‑old for zoophilia on highway BR‑174

A 62‑year‑old man was arrested preventively in Manaus after a video circulated on social media showing him sexually abusing a dog in a community garden along the BR‑174 highway. The investigation was launched by the Amazonas Civil Police after the footage was reported, and the arrest was carried out by the Delegacia Especializada em Meio Ambiente e Urbanismo (DEMA) with support from the Secretaria de Estado de Proteção Animal (SEPET). The suspect confessed to the act when police executed the warrant and was taken to DEMA for processing. He remains in custody pending further judicial proceedings.
