Manaus police arrest four suspects in commercial robbery

Police in Manaus arrested four suspects following a commercial robbery that occurred on August 27 in the Planalto neighborhood. Security camera footage captured the masked individuals arriving in a vehicle and confronting victims, including a child.

Following a tip sent via WhatsApp, the Amazonas Military Police (PMAM) located the group at a residence in the Aleixo neighborhood. The suspects, consisting of three men and one woman, were found with a black Hyundai HB20 used in the crime. Authorities seized two pistols, ammunition, five mobile phones, a money-counting machine, and altered license plates. Two of the detainees have prior criminal records for drug trafficking and firearm possession.
