Manaus police arrest homicide suspect from 2017 Acre case
A man identified by the initials A. F. F. S., known as ‘Perereca’, was arrested in Manaus following a multi-state police operation. The arrest fulfills a warrant issued by the Justice of Acre regarding a 2017 homicide.
Investigators allege that in 2017, the suspect and four others participated in the killing of a rural worker in the Jarina invasion region, in the municipality of Capixaba, Acre. The victim was reportedly struck with multiple knife and machete blows, and the suspects subsequently concealed the body.
The arrest was the result of coordinated efforts between the Capixaba Civil Police, the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (FICCO) of Roraima, and the Homicide and Person Protection Department (DHPP) of Amazonas. Police located the suspect living on the streets in Manaus. He remains at the disposal of the justice system to proceed with the legal process in Acre.
