Manaus public agencies conduct emergency response training

Public institutions in Manaus conducted specialized emergency response and first aid training for their staff.

The Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (IMMU), in partnership with the Emergency Mobile Care Service (Samu), provided training to approximately 30 transport inspectors and traffic agents. The session, held as part of the ‘Yellow September’ campaign, covered topics such as fainting, seizures, physical trauma, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and choking relief. The initiative also included discussions on mental health and suicide prevention.

Separately, the Manaus Municipal Chamber (CMM) held a recycling training session for its 50-member Emergency Brigade. This training focused on fire prevention and response, including the use of extinguishers, hydrants, and alarms, as well as pre-hospital care techniques. The CMM maintains these periodic training sessions to ensure staff are prepared for building evacuations and emergency situations.
