Manaus taxpayers face August 17 deadline for sixth IPTU installment

Taxpayers in Manaus have until Monday, August 17, to pay the sixth installment of the 2026 Property and Territorial Urban Tax (IPTU). Staying current with these payments ensures eligibility for the ‘IPTU Premiado’ campaign, which offers monthly prizes of up to R$ 40,000.

In the fifth draw of 2026, the Manaus City Hall distributed R$ 180,000 in prizes. Winners included one individual receiving R$ 40,000, two receiving R$ 30,000, three receiving R$ 20,000, four receiving R$ 10,000, and four receiving R$ 5,000. Officials noted that the campaign aims to encourage fiscal responsibility to fund essential municipal services.

Taxpayers using the ‘Manaus Atende Digital’ app for digital billing can receive a 2% discount on each installment paid by the due date. This discount is not applicable to printed tax slips sent via mail or issued through the city's web portal.
