Manaus Theatre Showcase hosts free workshops for artists

The 2nd Águas de Manaus Theatre Showcase (MTAM) will host a series of free formative workshops on August 12 and 13 for artists, students, and those interested in performing arts. No prior registration is required for participation.

On Wednesday, August 12, the program begins at 6:00 PM at the Centro Cultural Casarão de Ideias with a workshop titled "Poetic Audio Description in the Area of Cultural Accessibility," organized by the Federação de Teatro do Amazonas (FETAM). This session will explore tools to expand cultural access through audio description. At 8:00 PM, the activity "Tom na Fazenda e a Internacionalização do Teatro Brasileiro" will take place at Teatro ICBEU, where production members will discuss the international circulation and production aspects of the successful play.

On Thursday, August 13, at 3:00 PM, the workshops conclude at Teatro ICBEU with "Magiluth – Preparando o Jogo." Led by the Recife-based collective Magiluth, the session will focus on cast preparation and creative processes for the stage. The initiative, a partnership involving FETAM and the Instituto Brasileiro de Teatro (iBT), aims to strengthen local theatrical production and foster direct dialogue between professionals and the community.
