Manavgat Municipality Begins 75‑Hectare Street‑Animal Natural Habitat Project

The Manavgat Municipality is implementing a 75‑hectare natural habitat for stray animals in the Taşağıl neighbourhood. The project aims to protect the rights of street animals while also addressing community and public‑health concerns. Deputy Mayor Av. Mehmet Çiçek inspected the site and confirmed that physical works, infrastructure preparation and environmental assessments are underway. The plan includes shelters, feeding stations and integrated health services to improve animal welfare and reduce health risks for residents. Ongoing maintenance and monitoring will be carried out by municipal units once the habitat is completed.
