Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup to expand for 2027 edition

The eighth edition of the Manchester City Abu Dhabi Cup is scheduled to take place from January 8–10, 2027, at Zayed Sports City in the UAE. Following a record-breaking 2026 event, organizers have announced that this upcoming tournament will be the largest to date.

The competition will feature eight age-group categories, including expanded participation for girls in the U12, U14, and U16 divisions, alongside boys' competitions ranging from U8 to U16. In addition to team trophies, the tournament will present individual awards such as Goal of the Tournament and the Etihad Player of the Tournament.

Winning teams will enter a prize draw for a trip to a City Football Group club, which includes training at a professional facility and watching a first-team match. Participants will also have opportunities to visit local landmarks in Abu Dhabi, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Sea World Abu Dhabi.
