Manchester City adds PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye to transfer shortlist

Manchester City have placed 18‑year‑old winger Ibrahim Mbaye on their transfer shortlist, joining interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and German sides RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund. Mbaye, who has two years remaining on his Paris Saint‑Germain contract, is keen to leave France for a new challenge. Born in Trappes, he progressed through PSG’s academy, debuted for the first team in August 2024 and has logged 42 appearances with four goals and four assists. Internationally, Mbaye represents Senegal, earning 15 caps and becoming the youngest African scorer at the 2026 World Cup after netting against France. The move comes as City, under new boss Enzo Maresca, continue to rebuild after the departure of Pep Guardiola, having already signed midfielder Elliot Anderson and several young players.
