Manchester City chairman says club not for sale and outlines future plans

Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said Sheikh Mansour has no intention to sell the club, describing the ownership as a long‑term investment that will continue to grow in value. He highlighted ongoing stadium upgrades, a £300 million expansion of the north stand and a new entertainment complex around the Etihad.

Al Mubarak also addressed the recent departure of Pep Guardiola, noting the former manager had said he would leave many times before finally exiting this summer. He said a new manager will be announced soon, with Enzo Maresca mentioned as a possible candidate. The chairman praised academy graduate Nico O'Reilly, veteran Bernardo Silva and John Stones, and praised recent signing Rayan Cherki, adding that the World Cup does not complicate the club’s transfer strategy.
