Manchester City extends contracts; Garnacho near Aston Villa move

Manchester City announced long‑term extensions for several first‑team players. Uzbek defender Abdukhodir Husanoi and Belgian winger Jeremie Doku have both signed new deals running to 2031, while midfielder Phil Foden extended his contract until 2030. The extensions were confirmed under manager Enzo Maresca as the club aims to retain its core squad for the coming years.

At the same time, Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho is preparing to leave Chelsea. Aston Villa are reported to be close to completing his transfer, initially on loan with an option to buy. The move follows a season in which Garnacho made 43 appearances for Chelsea but failed to secure a regular starting role, prompting the club to reshape its attacking options.
