Ørjan Nyland Linked to Manchester City and Feyenoord Interest
Norwegian goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland, 35, left Sevilla in June and is now a free agent. Following his standout World Cup performances, including a key role in Norway’s win over Brazil, several clubs have shown interest. The Sun reports that Manchester City are among five English clubs monitoring Nyland as a low‑cost, experienced option to complement their existing goalkeeping roster, which already includes Gianluigi Donnarumma and James Trafford.
In the Netherlands, Feyenoord have also been identified as potential suitors. With budget constraints affecting their pursuit of German keeper Tjark Ernst, the club view Nyland – who can join without a transfer fee – as a viable alternative to strengthen their goalkeeper position.
Both clubs consider Nyland’s age and recent form less of a concern, focusing instead on his World Cup experience and the possibility of adding depth without incurring a transfer cost.
