Manchester City favored by Gerrard and Owen in title race shift

Former players Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen have shifted their Premier League title predictions, now favoring Manchester City over Arsenal.

Despite pre-season doubts regarding the departure of Pep Guardiola and key players like Rodri, Michael Owen noted that City’s performance, including a 3-0 victory over Liverpool, has proven they remain top contenders. While Owen still views Arsenal as the ‘team to beat,’ he admitted that City’s strength and squad depth have changed his outlook.

Steven Gerrard also expressed confidence in Manchester City’s readiness under Enzo Maresca. Following City’s strong start to the season, Gerrard stated he would now ‘put my money on City,’ citing their tactical maturity and ability to handle pressure despite off-pitch distractions.
