Manchester City found guilty of 114 financial regulation breaches

Manchester City has been found guilty of 114 out of 115 charges regarding breaches of financial regulations. The ruling follows a long-standing investigation into the club's alleged violations of Financial Fair Play rules, including the potential overvaluation of sponsorship contracts. While an appeal process is expected, the club faces severe potential consequences, such as massive fines, transfer bans, point deductions, or even relegation.

Following the verdict, Rui Pinto, the individual behind Football Leaks, has leveled accusations against FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Pinto claims that Infantino, during his tenure as UEFA Secretary-General in 2014, was aware of irregularities involving Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. Pinto alleges that Infantino used his position to protect the clubs from severe sanctions, such as Champions League exclusion, in favor of lighter penalties.

Infantino has responded to these claims, stating that his actions involve professional communication and the exchange of documents to defend the interests of football.
