Manchester City names Enzo Mareška as head coach
Manchester City announced the appointment of Italian coach Enzo Mareška as its new head coach, signing a three‑year contract that runs through the summer of 2029. Mareška, 46, returns for a third spell at the Premier League club after serving as Pep Guardiola’s assistant and later leading Parma, Leicester City and Chelsea, from which he left midway through the season.
In his first remarks, Mareška praised the club’s organisation, saying “Manchester City is an incredibly well‑run football club… this is a dream situation for a coach… I look forward to winning and playing good football.” The club highlighted his elite‑level experience and past successes as reasons for the hire.
