Manchester City player Allan faces legal dispute over transfer funds

A legal dispute has emerged regarding the transfer of Brazilian player Allan from Palmeiras to Manchester City. While Palmeiras is not a defendant in the case, the São Paulo Court has ordered the club to present documentation concerning the transfer due to an outstanding debt held by Figueirense.

In 2018, Figueirense secured a R$ 3 million loan from Sport Partners, using football revenues and player transfer rights as collateral. This debt, which was sold to M&F Investimentos in 2022, is now being legally pursued and is estimated at R$ 36.6 million, a figure contested by Figueirense's SAF. Because Figueirense retained a 10% economic interest in Allan's rights, a portion of his transfer proceeds is subject to this judicial claim.

Allan's definitive transfer to Manchester City was completed on September 1 for approximately 37.4 million euros, to be paid in four annual installments. On the pitch, the former Palmeiras player has made a strong debut for Manchester City, receiving significant praise from supporters following a performance in the Champions League.
