Manchester City players face transfer interest amid club uncertainty

Manchester City players Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol are facing potential departures amid uncertainty surrounding the club’s ongoing Premier League financial regulation proceedings.

Juventus is reportedly monitoring Mateo Kovacic as a potential target. The Italian club is interested in the Croatian midfielder, potentially seeking him as a free agent to align with a strategy of acquiring experienced players without significant transfer fees. Kovacic is currently under contract with Manchester City until June 2027.

Simultaneously, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are tracking the situation of defender Josko Gvardiol. Both Spanish clubs have previously shown interest in the Croatian center-back. While Gvardiol is under contract with Manchester City until 2031, any severe sanctions imposed on the English club could force significant squad changes, creating opportunities for major European clubs to pursue him.
