Manchester City prepares for squad rebuild under Enzo Maresca

Manchester City is undergoing a significant squad transition following the departure of manager Pep Guardiola and the transfer of key midfielder Rodri to Barcelona. New manager Enzo Maresca has addressed the challenge of replacing core players, stating that the club aims to find a “new Rodri” and noting that the club has successfully replaced major figures like David Silva and Sergio Agüero in the past.

To bolster the squad amidst several departures, Manchester City has reportedly reached an agreement to sign 22-year-old forward Alan Elias from Palmeiras. The Brazilian winger is expected to join for a fee of approximately £32 million plus £2.2 million in bonuses. Elias, a product of the Palmeiras youth academy, has recorded six goals in 49 appearances in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
