Manchester City secures long-term deals for Khosanov and Foden

Manchester City announced a five‑year contract extension for Uzbek defender Abdul Kader Khosanov, keeping him at the club until 2031. Since joining in January 2025, the 22‑year‑old has become a defensive mainstay, featuring in 16 of the last 19 Premier League matches and helping the team win the FA Cup and League Cup.

The club also confirmed a new deal for England forward Phil Foden, extending his contract to the summer of 2030. The renewal follows Foden’s exclusion from England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup and serves as a direct response to criticism from England coach Thomas Tuchel. Foden, 26, expressed his commitment to the club and excitement to play under manager Inzaghi Mariska.
