Manchester City secures long‑term contracts for Khusanov and Doku until 2031

Manchester City is preparing to extend the contracts of two young key players through 2031. Uzbek international centre‑back Abdukodir Khusanov, who joined from RC Lens in January 2025, is reported to be offered a new deal that would replace his current agreement ending in 2029. Valued at around €50 million, Khusanov has become a regular starter after replacing injured teammates and featured for Uzbekistan at the 2026 World Cup.

Belgian winger Jeremy Doku, who has made over 40 appearances for the club and scored eight goals and 14 assists last season, is also expected to sign a renewed contract up to 2031. Both extensions are part of manager Enzo Maresca’s strategy to lock down emerging talent, following earlier deals for Phil Foden that run to 2030.
