Chelsea sets £120m deadline for Enzo Fernández transfer

Chelsea FC has set a strict deadline of 5:00 PM UK time on Friday for any official bids regarding midfielder Enzo Fernández. The club has reportedly valued the Argentine international at approximately £120 million to £140 million.

Manchester City has been identified as a primary suitor, potentially seeking Fernández as a replacement for Rodri, who is linked with a move to Barcelona. While reports suggested City had made verbal offers or reached personal terms with the player, Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has since hinted that a deal may not materialize, stating, “I don’t think we’re going to do something today.”

Chelsea’s ultimatum aims to resolve the player's future before the new season begins. If the valuation is not met by the deadline, the club intends to keep Fernández, who remains under contract until 2029.
