Manchester Financial Group proposes massive San Diego data center

Manchester Financial Group is exploring the development of a massive 400-megawatt data center on a 70-acre federal site in San Diego, near the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) site. If constructed, the facility could potentially become the largest data center in California.

Internal communications indicate that Manchester Financial Group CEO Ted Eldredge has sought energy cost estimates from San Diego Community Power to facilitate meetings with investors. While previous public proposals for the site included residential apartments, hotels, and retail, the data center remains a possibility as plans are refined. The company is currently in negotiations with the Navy, stating that their priority is delivering modern facilities for NAVWAR.
