Manchester man pleads guilty to 60 sexual offenses against wife

A man in his 60s from the Stockport area has pleaded guilty at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester to 60 sexual offenses committed against his wife over a period spanning from 2004 to 2025. The charges include multiple counts of rape, sexual assault by penetration, and the intentional administration of substances to incapacitate the victim.

The victim, whose identity remains protected by law, attended the proceedings from the public gallery accompanied by family members. The defendant's confession follows a previous admission earlier this year regarding 15 sexual offenses committed between 2022 and 2025.

In addition to the husband, twelve other men, aged between 28 and 74, are accused of committing sexual offenses against the same woman between 2018 and 2025. These co-defendants, who include a paramedic and a former football coach, have denied all charges. A thirteenth man has previously pleaded guilty to sexual offenses against the victim. The trial for the remaining accused is expected to proceed in the coming weeks.
