Manchester street knife and club clash leaves two seriously injured

On Saturday 11 July 2026 a violent confrontation erupted on Jackson Crescent in Hulme, Manchester. A group of young men on electric scooters approached a stopped car and attacked the driver and passenger with knives. The occupants fought back using baseball‑style clubs, and the melee continued in the middle of the road.

Two men, a 22‑year‑old and a 17‑year‑old, suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital. Police arrested the two injured individuals on suspicion of assault, possession of Class B drugs and evading arrest, and are searching for three other participants. A witness recorded the incident, saying, “Welcome to Britain, everyone has knives.” Police said there is no wider threat to the community.
