Manchester Super Giants win The Hundred men's final

The Manchester Super Giants secured their first The Hundred championship by defeating the Trent Rockets by five wickets in the men’s final at Lord’s. The match remained tense until the final three balls, where Liam Dawson hit a six to clinch the victory and the £275,000 prize.

Tim Seifert played a pivotal role for the Super Giants, scoring 72 runs off 38 balls and setting a record for the fastest fifty in the history of The Hundred men’s finals. Despite a strong start from the Trent Rockets, spinner Noor Ahmad’s bowling helped restrict the opposition to a total of 158.

The victory marks a significant milestone for owner Sanjiv Goenka and the RPSG Group, who recently rebranded the Manchester Originals as the Manchester Super Giants. While the Super Giants won the men’s title, the Trent Rockets claimed the women’s championship in the same edition of the tournament.
