Manchester United agrees £70m deal for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United has reached an agreement with Brentford to sign attacker Bryan Mbeumo for a total fee of approximately £70 million. The deal reportedly consists of a £65 million fixed fee plus £6 million in add-ons, to be paid in four installments.
Mbeumo, a Cameroon international, is expected to sign a five-year contract with an option for an additional year. Negotiations for the player had been ongoing since June, with Brentford maintaining their valuation despite the player having only one year remaining on his current contract.
Amidst the transfer news, Mbeumo has praised the Manchester United fanbase for their continued support during a difficult period for the club. The team has struggled recently, including a 4-1 defeat to Como, leaving the squad in the bottom half of the table.
