Manchester United and Arsenal monitor Porto defender Alberto Costa

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly monitoring FC Porto right-back Alberto Costa following a successful debut season in Portugal. The 22-year-old, who joined Porto from Juventus, recorded one goal and nine assists across 47 appearances in all competitions.

While no formal bids have been submitted, several major clubs including Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be tracking the player. Costa is under contract with Porto until June 2030, and his agreement includes a release clause valued at approximately €65 million (£56 million).

For Manchester United, Costa represents a potential long-term solution to provide competition at right-back. For Arsenal, his tactical flexibility and ability to contribute to possession align with the club's defensive requirements. Juventus, which previously sold the player, is reportedly entitled to 10 percent of any future profit from a sale.
