Manchester United close to £45m deal for Brazilian midfielder Ederson

Manchester United are in the final stages of negotiations with Serie A club Atalanta to sign 26‑year‑old Brazilian midfielder Ederson. The player has agreed personal terms with United and has paused talks with other European clubs, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano. The clubs are discussing a fee of roughly €45 million (about £39‑40 million) plus performance‑related add‑ons, a structure similar to the recent Rasmus Højlund transfer.
