Manchester United completes major summer transfer overhaul

Manchester United has completed a significant summer transfer window, focusing heavily on reshaping its midfield. New arrivals introduced to the Old Trafford crowd include Carlos Baleba, Andrey Santos, and Youri Tielemans. The club has committed over £360 million across recent recruitment drives for both midfield and attacking positions.

In addition to the major signings, the club added goalkeeper Karl Darlow on a free transfer, along with Tynan Thompson, Kit Margetson, and Cristian Orozco. The squad saw extensive turnover, with 24 players departing through loans, transfers, or expiring contracts, including Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli.

While the club addressed the midfield this summer, defensive reinforcements remain a future priority. Key defenders including Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, and Lisandro Martinez face upcoming contract situations. Despite a strong performance against Ipswich Town, questions remain regarding the form and longevity of the current defensive lineup.
