Manchester United eyes contract talks with Luke Shaw and pursuit of Adrien Truffert

Manchester United is reportedly planning to discuss a contract extension with left-back Luke Shaw at the beginning of 2027. Although Shaw’s current deal is set to expire next summer, the club still views the 31-year-old as their starting left-back and envisions a long-term role for him at Old Trafford.

In a parallel effort to strengthen the position, Manchester United is also interested in Bournemouth defender Adrien Truffert. The club is facing competition from Liverpool for the Frenchman, who has impressed scouts with his defensive and attacking contributions. Bournemouth is expected to demand a fee in the region of £60 million to allow Truffert to leave in the January transfer window.
