Manchester United leads race for West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville

Manchester United have emerged as the front‑runner to sign 24‑year‑old Dutch winger Crysencio Summerville, who impressed for the Netherlands in the World Cup opener against Japan. West Ham United, recently relegated to the Championship, have set a £50 million price tag for the player, who is under contract until 2029. Summerville is reportedly seeking to triple his current salary to around €6 million per season (£130,000‑£135,000 per week), a wage United can accommodate, while AS Roma have ruled themselves out of the race.

Tottenham Hotspur and Serie A club Roma were previously linked with the winger, but United’s interest has sharpened after Roma’s withdrawal and the club’s need to replace departing wide‑forward Marcus Rashford. The transfer fee remains the main obstacle, with United yet to submit a formal bid.
