Manchester United manager Michael Carrick seeks more signings

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has called for additional player signings to ensure the club can compete effectively in the Premier League. While the club has spent approximately £85 million ($115 million) on midfielders Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, along with goalkeeper Karl Darlow, Carrick believes more investment is required to reach the club's competitive goals.

Carrick noted that while the club has made “very good business” and secured “top-level players,” the current spending levels trail behind major rivals such as Chelsea, Manchester City, and Tottenham, who have each spent over £100 million on single players. He emphasized the need to push financial and competitive limits to return to winning ways.

Additionally, the club has welcomed back Marcus Rashford following his loan spell at Barcelona. After Barcelona declined an option to purchase the English winger, Carrick confirmed Rashford is not for sale, stating, “He is our player, and he is a good player and he brings something a little different to the group.”
