Manchester United monitoring Fulham defender Calvin Bassey

Manchester United is reportedly monitoring Fulham defender Calvin Bassey as part of long-term defensive planning. The 26-year-old Nigerian international is being assessed as the club considers a squad rebuild for 2027.

Bassey, who can play as both a centre-back and a left-back, is currently under contract with Fulham until the summer of 2027, with an option for the club to extend the agreement by one year. Fulham is reportedly interested in negotiating new terms to protect the player's value as interest from other clubs grows.

In addition to Manchester United, several other clubs are reportedly monitoring the defender, including Newcastle United, Everton, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig.
