Manchester United outlines summer transfer targets for attack and midfield

Manchester United have identified a five‑man shortlist of forwards to complement new signing Benjamin Šeško. The list includes Victor Osimhen, Jean‑Philippe Mateta, Dušan Vlahović, Eli Junior Kroupi and a possible short‑term option in Robert Lewandowski. The club is also pursuing midfield options, notably Aurelien Tchouaméni after his reported fallout at Real Madrid, and Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes, who is also being chased by Tottenham Hotspur. United’s recruitment chief Jason Wilcox has expressed confidence that the club is “the most advanced” in talks for Fernandes, while a source compared the youngster’s playmaking to PSG’s Vitinha. In addition, United are set to sign 14‑year‑old striker Blake Henry from Derby County, with the club expected to receive a compensation fee for the academy product. These moves reflect a strategy to balance experienced talent with emerging prospects as United aim to rebuild the squad for a stronger campaign.

The transfer activity spans both the forward line and midfield, indicating a comprehensive overhaul intended to restore United’s competitive standing domestically and in Europe.
