Manchester United faces challenging Champions League draw
Manchester United has been drawn into a challenging league phase for the 2026-27 UEFA Champions League following the draw in Monaco. Marking their return to the competition after a two-year absence, the club will face eight different opponents.
Under the management of Michael Carrick, the English side will host Bayern Munich, AS Roma, RB Leipzig, and Sabah at Old Trafford. Their away fixtures include matches against Atletico Madrid, Sporting CP, Villarreal, and Como.
Notable matchups include a high-profile home game against Bayern Munich and a trip to face Como, the Italian club managed by Cesc Fabregas. Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada expressed excitement about the return to Europe’s premier competition, noting the importance of playing against such prestigious opponents.
To advance to the knockout stages, United must finish in the top eight of the 32-team league table or secure a position between ninth and 24th to enter the play-off round.
