Manchester United pursue Roma midfielder Manu Kone after Ederson deal stalls

Manchester United have intensified their pursuit of 25‑year‑old French midfielder Manu Kone, with reports that the club is preparing a £50 million bid to sign him from AS Roma. Kone, who impressed for France at the World Cup, has indicated a preference for a Premier League move and has turned down an offer from Atlético Madrid. United face competition from Arsenal, Newcastle United and other clubs, while Roma set a price of €50 million.

The United interest accelerated after their target goalkeeper Ederson failed a medical, prompting the club to look for additional midfield options.
