Manchester United pursued Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly before signing Carlos Baleba

Manchester United explored a potential transfer for Arsenal midfielder and left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly during the summer transfer window. Reports indicate that United considered a bid for the 19-year-old after being informed by intermediaries that he could be available for approximately £45m.

However, the pursuit did not advance as Arsenal's asking price reportedly rose to £70m, and the club maintained a firm stance against selling the academy product. Consequently, Manchester United shifted their focus to other midfield options, eventually securing the signing of Carlos Baleba in late August. Other midfield additions for United during this period included Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
