Manchester United pursues Louis Page and Lewis Hall

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has expressed confidence in the club’s ability to remain competitive despite a summer transfer spend of approximately €173.2 million. This expenditure focused on midfield reinforcements, including Carlos Baleba, Youri Tielemans, and Andrey Santos. Carrick emphasized that team dynamics and balance are more critical to success than the total amount of money spent.

Despite the recent window closing, Manchester United remains active in pursuit of several targets. The club is reportedly continuing negotiations with Leicester City for 18-year-old midfielder Louis Page. While an impasse regarding valuation prevented a deal before the deadline, United is interested in a potential pre-agreement that would allow Page to remain at Leicester for the current season before joining Old Trafford.

Additionally, the club is maintaining long-term interest in Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall to bolster their defensive options. Although United failed to secure a left-back this summer, they view Hall as a primary target for future windows to provide depth and competition for Luke Shaw.
