Manchester United: Rashford resurgence and Nkunku transfer update

Manchester United is seeing a resurgence in Marcus Rashford's form under manager Michael Carrick. After being reintegrated into the squad, Rashford has become an essential player, despite not scoring in recent outings. During a recent match against Everton that ended in a 2-2 draw, Rashford was substituted in the 70th minute due to minor physical discomfort, a move Carrick explained was a precaution to protect the player ahead of an upcoming Champions League fixture against Sabah.

In separate transfer news, Manchester United's attempt to sign Christopher Nkunku this summer was unsuccessful. The French forward, formerly of Chelsea and AC Milan, chose to join RB Leipzig on a season-long loan instead. RB Leipzig manager Marcel Schäfer confirmed that Nkunku rejected offers from two Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Newcastle United, to return to the Red Bull Arena. Leipzig holds an option to purchase the player for 28 million euros next year.
