Manchester United receives injury updates for Baleba and de Ligt

Manchester United has received positive injury updates regarding Carlos Baleba and Matthijs de Ligt. During a recent friendly against Lausanne Sport, Baleba, the Cameroonian midfielder signed from Brighton, was able to feature after being sidelined.

Matthijs de Ligt also saw action in the match, providing a potential boost to a defense that has struggled with availability. De Ligt has been out of official competition since November 2025, and there are indications he could return as early as the upcoming Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur.

In terms of squad depth, the club is also monitoring transfer options for the left-back position due to ongoing injury concerns with Luke Shaw. While previous targets like Lewis Hall remain difficult to secure, the club is reportedly considering alternatives such as Myles Lewis-Skelly, David Raum, and Alejandro Balde to address the lack of quality in that area.
